We all need some me-time. And we all deserve to spend that me-time the way we want. Whether that’s reading a book, watching TV, going for a run or playing a mobile game. Fact is, however, when playing a mobile game while grabbing some me-time, people tend to feel a bit guilty.

FCB Happiness and Slotomania wanted to counter that feeling by giving a reason to play Slotomania, any minute of the day.

Concept

whyitsokaytoplay.com – a real-time video clock that runs perfectly in sync with your local time and shows you a different video for every single minute of the day. Each 60 seconds unveils a unique video, with a script based on surprising data found about that specific moment in the day, turning each minute into a unique insight and an original reason to play.

Each 60 seconds unveils a unique video, with a script based on surprising data found about that specific moment in the day, turning each minute into a unique insight and an original reason to play.

Those 1,440 facts were turned into 1,440 pieces of content – one for each minute of the day. To create such a colossal wealth of assets meant a large-scale collaboration across the FCB network globally. Teams around the world helped deliver a unique story for every minute of the day, with a total of 14 chief creative officers, 37 creative directors, 142 copywriters and 30 video editors getting involved.

Our Role

Ritual was commissioned to bring Slotomania’s Mobile Game characters to life. Together with FCB Happiness, we selected some of the quirkiest characters from the Slotomania world and modelled, rigged, textured and animated them.

Motion Capture Technology

Motion Capture Technology

Using Motion Capture technology and human actors to simulate the animation sequences, we later transferred the motion data to our 3D character rigs for for final animation.

Lastly lighting and compositing all the characters into the final scenes. The result, fun, life-like motion for the Slotomania characters which slotted into the 1440 content story’s seamlessly.
